The training course ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education” revolves around the transformative role of AI in schools and school libraries, redefining the educational experience. It explores how AI-powered solutions empower teachers, librarians and participants to streamline tasks, reduce manual work, and engage more meaningfully with students and patrons. Through this, participants gain the knowledge and tools needed to shape the future of education.
Description
In the context of school libraries and artificial intelligence, achieving equitable access to devices, connectivity, and digital resources becomes imperative. Bridging the digital divide not only enhances access but also enables students to develop essential learning skills. These skills encompass critical evaluation of information, discernment of reliable sources, and responsible navigation of the vast online landscape. Together, these elements form a cohesive approach to the integration of AI in education and its broader impact on students and libraries.

The workshop aims to encourage and enable participants to:
- Learn how AI can effectively reduce manual and repetitive tasks for teachers and librarians, freeing up valuable time for more meaningful engagement with students and patrons.
- Discover how AI technologies can minimize errors and inconsistencies in data management, ensuring that library resources and information are consistently accurate and up to date.
- Understand how AI can be harnessed to provide tailored recommendations to library patrons, creating a more personalized and enriching experience.
